Winner of the 2008 "Prix Francois Marcaurelle" at Montreal's Off Festival, this album features a five-part song cycle for jazz trio and string quartet. The compositions, written by Chet Doxas, are based on the eponymously titled collection of short stories by J-P Sartre. Also included are three pieces by bassist, Zack Lober and one impromptu improvised piece by the trio.
